Canada Goose

Canada Goose
By: Colton Reynolds
There are numerous types of Geese in the world. The Canadian Goose AKA Branta Canadenis. The Canadian Geese live mostly in lakes, bays, rivers, marshes, and some grass fields. Their climate isn’t very warm and is more cold then regular bird’s climates. They survive off of grass and plants because they are herbivores. When there not eating they are keeping a birds eye view on predators. People, Coyotes, and few wolfs would love to ruin their lives.
Their features include long black necks white band under chin black feet tan body white under tail and teeth on the outside of their beak to cut grass easier or sometimes protect them selves. The male and females are the same height. The female lays 4-10 eggs and sits on them for about a month before they hatch. The male would usually protect the eggs from predators. It usually takes 40-70 days for one to fly. The Canadian geese mate for life.
